Verrill is actively reviewing resumes for a Billing Assistant in our Portland Office. As one of New England’s top full-service law firms, we are interested in hiring talented individuals to join our team. This full-time, hourly position will be an integral part of the Finance and Accounting Team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, drafting, and generating invoices for clients, responding to internal and external inquires for client billing information, serving as a liaison between attorneys, legal assistants and the Finance and Accounting Team, researching and resolving payment discrepancies, and/or performing other various tasks, as needed.
The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel), and the ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with prior billing experience in a professional environment as a plus. Applicants should have proven time management skills, the ability to prioritize tasks successfully, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter capable of producing high quality work in a timely and professional manner, while providing exceptional client service and team support.
